Basic Body is a survival-oriented bodily condition designed to minimize the physical maintenance costs that a human being must bear in order to survive, while preserving the continuity of identity and consciousness.

It is a basic form of the human body in which the burdens of eating, excretion, disease (including mental illness), aging, hygiene, and bodily maintenance are reduced as much as possible, allowing a person to survive without excessive dependence on social systems for healthcare, food, sanitation, and labor.

Food, hair clippers, shampoo, or even ventilation systems for toilet odors would no longer be necessary.

Preserving the continuity of identity and consciousness means rejecting the redesign of memory, intelligence, or emotional structure to suit the needs of the system or improve productivity.

Basic Body does not aim to create a superhuman body with wings, invisibility, extreme beauty, excessive combat capabilities, or similar abilities. It is, however, open to defensive forms of bodily resilience.

Abilities that reduce damage or accelerate recovery from amputation, burns, electric shock, radiation, infection, toxic substances, extreme temperatures, or accidental injury may fall within the scope of a survival-oriented bodily condition.

At the same time, Basic Body does not aim for complete freedom from pain or total numbness. Pain and discomfort are important signals through which the body warns us of danger, so simply eliminating them would not be desirable.

Why “Basic Body”?

Simple. I borrowed the name from the familiar concepts of basic income and basic services.
