Solace Seed is the minimum unit of human survival device that separates from Biosolace when Biosolace loses function or can no longer guarantee the Exodist's long-term survival.

Solace Seed provides air, water, nutrition, body temperature maintenance, radiation shielding, sleep, biological stabilization, and a minimal virtual reality environment. Depending on the circumstances, it may function solely as a life-support system without providing any virtual environment.

It preserves the continuity of the Exodist's existence until the Exodist receives a new Biosolace or docks at a safe station. Solace Seed is configured to return from a disabled Biosolace to the nearest Solace Harbor. This would be relatively straightforward in the CB form, but the VB form presents a technical challenge. A way must be found to determine whether return is possible at all, and if so, how it can be achieved.

Of course, the individual can still make a choice without solving that problem in advance: whether to end their life together with the Biosolace, or to use the Solace Seed.

It is better to have more than one option.

Solace Seed is designed on the premise of docking with an orbital station capable of supplying a specific type of energy, especially Solace Harbor. At this time, the Exodist must be able to know the pre-docking state, approach state, docking completion state, energy supply state, and new Biosolace preparation state through signals, markers, voice guidance, and environmental changes within virtual reality.

Solace Seed begins from the recognition that Biosolace is not an immortal device. Just as Earth is the life base for Terrans but cannot perfectly guarantee their survival, Biosolace also cannot be guaranteed to function stably for longer than the lifespan of the Exodist.

If Biosolace is the Exodist's home, Solace Seed is the minimum possibility of return that remains after that home disappears, or the small seed that leads to a new home.
